Am I Going to Heaven?
by H.W. Hastings III |
|
There is no time like the present to secure confidence that you will go to heaven. If you believe you must be a good person to get into heaven, now is time to find out what God has to say in His Word, the Bible, about what you must do to get into heaven. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Perfect God can have nothing to do with sinful man. There is absolutely nothing you can do to have a relationship with God. You can only get to heaven based on the merit or work of another. This book communicates the ‘good news’ by introducing the One—Jesus Christ—who did what was required for us to get into heaven. God provided in grace a way to go to heaven for sinners like you and me. Grace is God’s unmerited favor, freely bestowed upon one who does not earn or deserve it. Jesus Christ Himself bore your sins and my sins in His body on the cross and was judged for them. Your entire sin debt is cancelled. All you have to do in order to receive forgiveness for your sins, every sin you have ever committed, and spend eternity in heaven, is to simply believe in Jesus Christ. Are you ready to receive the free gift of eternal life?

How Great is the Darkness
by H.W. Hastings III |
|
God designed the believer’s soul to reflect the light and life of Jesus Christ. If his soul becomes preoccupied with self and the things of this earth, then that light cannot shine forth. The darkness becomes great, and no one sees the glorious light of our God. How Great is the Darkness tells the story of Jonah and what God wanted him to do. Jonah got his eyes on people and circumstances, therefore he failed to accomplish God’s plan. The light in Jonah had become darkness. Are the details of life more important to you than living the spiritual life that God wants you to live? Are you malleable and willing to go where God wants you to go or do what God wants you to do? Is the darkness in your soul great or will the light within you shine forth?

The Divine Works of Grace
by H.W. Hastings III |
|
God accomplished sixty-three divine works of grace for you instantaneously and simultaneously at faith alone in Christ alone. No one earns or deserves them. They are simply received. These works are a gift from God to you.
This book lists the divine works; each followed by an implicational rationale. The rationales contain a few of the implications each divine work has upon your life. As you learn about these divine works of grace, your personal love for God grows. It is this love for God coupled with the love of Christ that is shed broad in your heart that should motivate you to accomplish His plan for your life. (Rom. 5:5; II Cor. 5:14).
It is one thing to know what God accomplished for you the instant you were saved, but to believe in and live in light of these divine works of grace by the Spirit of God who indwells you is infinitely more amazing. By learning what God freely accomplished on your behalf the moment you believed and learning about the implications that these divine works have upon your life, you will see how awesome is your God. |
